Map pool

  • The Ladder Edition versions of the active, 1v1 ladder map pool, at the time of the tournament.
  • No other maps are eligible.

TBD on the tournament day.

Depending on the number of participants, we will either do one more multiple groups, played in Swiss or Round Robin formats. Depending on the number of participants, the top 4 or 8 players will qualify into a double elimination playoff bracket.

All matches in the open bracket will be Best of 3’s, with all playoff matches being Best of 5’s. The final match will be a Best of 7 with the player qualifying through the winners bracket getting a 1 map advantage, the only veto as well as first map choice (for set 2 technically).

If there are sufficient numbers and interest, players with lower MMR / League ranking can opt to play in a lower bracket. For example, if we have 4-8 players in Silver and Gold, we could run a separate bracket for them, and run a Platinum+ bracket concurrently. Tournament prizes would not be available in this bracket.

Map Vetos

In each series, players will flip a coin to determine who vetoes first. Both players will veto a pair of maps until there are only as many maps left as there are sets in their match. For example, in a Best of 3, each player would veto two maps while in a Best of 5, each player would only veto one map.

The player who did not veto the first map will then pick the first map of the match. Following that first set, the loser of each subsequent set will pick the next map from the remaining non-vetoed maps.

Pauses are only authorized if technical problems are encountered and have to be announced in game (“pause please”, “pp”). In the event of a disconnect or intermittent lag, an admin has to be contacted immediately. Matches may be resumed at the admin’s discretion.

All players must disable notification during their games.

When a player enters a game, the “Busy” status has to be enabled.

All players are expected to compose themselves to a fitting level of sportsmanship. Any racist, sexist, homophobic or other similar language and comments should be reported to the tournament admin immediately. It will be up to the admin to determine what, if any, repercussions will occur, up to and including disqualification from the tournament in the event of abusive and recurring infractions.

Please remember that we are all here to enjoy a weekend of StarCraft 2 matches, with like minded individuals who share a similar passion. GLHF and GG’s are encouraged. Most participants choose not to BM.
