During the pool phase both teams will have an assigned side of a coin, that coin will be flipped to determine which team will have first option to ban. During the bracket phase, the higher seeded team will have first option to ban. Teams alternately ban maps until number of maps needed ( 3 for Bo3, or 5 for Bo5) remain, which will make up the map pool used for the series.

Once the required number of maps remain, teams will continue banning until one map remains, which will be the starting map for the series.

The team that banned second will select their starting side for the first match in the series.
